Thank you for your interest in the website of Protein Biotechnology Research Lab (PBRL) at the College of Science, University of Tehran. PBRL has started to work since 2006 (1385, Solar Calendar) with the main interest in Protein /Peptide Science and Technology including enzyme immobilization, protein stabilization, proteins applications in biosensors, catalytic transformations, etc. Additionally, our research mainly focuses on nano-biotechnology, protein aggregation, insulin resistance-related diseases including type 2 diabetes (T2D), Alzheimer disease (AD) and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), with keeping protein chemistry at the center of our ongoing works. Representative topics related to on-going projects consist of Insulin resistance related diseases, Protein fibrillation, Protein aggregation, Protein Glycation, Protein Engineering, Enzyme immobilization, Biosensors.
